Francis Winifred was founded in 2016 by husband and wife duo James and Daniela Perez. Named for its location at the corner of Francis & Winfred Streets in Oak Park; the café is a welcome addition to an area lacking in cosy, quality eateries.

What was once a children’s party centre has now become a central meeting point, described by many as a local hidden gem with a great vibe!

The building’s small facade belies the expansive interior, which was completely refurbished to make it modern and approachable while maintaining its charm and authenticity, including the use of the original terrazzo flooring.

The breakfast and lunch menu caters for all tastes, with a focus on seasonal and local produce paired with All Press Specialty coffee. There is also a nod to James’ Spanish and Daniela’s Macedonian heritage, mixed with an array of café classics. Francis Winifred is also licenced, so you can enjoy a Chardy or a cold beer with your family or friends.

We provide an array of delicious options, including platters, finger food, sandwiches, baguettes and hot food to cater for any function.

By day we are a cosy, fresh open flowing space that offers friendly service, fresh delicious food & beverage. By night, we transform our space into a comfortable relaxed environment.

Our warm wooden furniture, exposed brick wall, green lush foliage and original terrazzo tiles brings warmth to our space that all your guests will feel when they are welcomed inside.
